Hendon Eugene Woolridge was born December 31, 1949 in Mason, Tennessee to Thomas Woolridge and Virginia Woolridge, He laid down his shield and gained his wings on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Hendon was the third Oldest of eleven siblings. He was a very compassionate and loving uncle, Brother and son.

Hendon Attended Weakly County Training School in Martin, Tennessee and proud to be a part of the Class of 1968. He later moved to Lancing, Michigan to work alongside his older brother (Thomas Jr.) at General Motors. He changed his direction and moved back home and begin working at the Reel Foot Packing Company in Union City, Tennessee. He accepted Christ at an early age and attended Miles Chapel CME Church of Martin, Tennessee.

Hendon had a heart of gold, Tall in statue but gentle as a lamb. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a man of few words but a person of action. He would ride the streets of Martin listening to the blues stopping to visit family and friends daily. Hendon fought a long battle and endured a lengthy stay in hospitals from Jackson to Memphis with his final stop being home in Martin and now to his Heavenly home. Hendon touch all our lives in a special way and will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Woolridge Sr., brother Thomas Woolridge Jr., sister Darlene Woolridge. He leaves to cherish his memories, most cherished his loving Mother: Virginia Woolridge; his siblings: Naydean Rutledge, Jesse Lee Woolridge, Michael Woolridge, Charles Woolridge, Linda HillWoolridge, Joyce Ann Hooker (Jeff) , Jerry Woolridge (Corina), Landana Woolridge ; One sister-in-law: Linda Woolridge; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
